Weight Loss Plans Introduction

In this article, I will summarize a number of online and comprehensive weight loss plans, as well as diets and diet meal plans in eBook and video format. There will be links throughout the article providing more details on specified plans.

Before I get into the weight loss plans, I think can’t over-emphasize the importance of having the proper mindset. This makes all the difference. So, I would like to provide you with a little weight loss inspiration in this video – well worth watching!

Comprehensive Weight Loss Plans

There are quite a few healthy weight loss plans that fit into the category of “comprehensive”. What I mean by this is that they provide a detailed plan, a support community, and even provide meal options delivered to your door. I will briefly review the top two.

First, lets summarize Jenny Craig. Jenny Craig offers online weight loss tools geared towards women with the option of a counselor for support. They also have weight loss centers throughout the world giving the ability to work with them in person for extra support. Jenny Craig offer plans ranging from a 12 week jump start to one year plans for ongoing support. It looks like being a calorie counter is helpful in this system. Next, there is a MyJennyFit service that focuses on the exercise training aspect of weight loss. Finally, they are known for their pre-planned meals and this is a plan that has worked for a lot of people.

Next, there is Weight Watchers. Like Jenny Craig, they offer in-person and online support, as well as weight loss meal plans. They are geared toward both men and women and have helped millions of people lose weight. The core of the program is the Weight Watchers points system. You get a customizable Points “budget” of what you can eat. Most fruits and vegetables are not costly with the points. An apple is 1 point, for example. A large bagel with cream cheese and lox is 12 points. There is also a formula to calculate the points based on the nutritional label. Finally, they also offer an extensive collection of recipes and are known for their Weight Watchers meetings all over the world.

Online Weight Loss Programs

We will also look at two of the best online weight loss programs.

Our first online weight loss program review is for SparkPeople. While this hasn’t been around as long as Weight Watchers, it has quite a huge membership numbering in the millions. They offer a calorie counter and meal plans as well as a personalized fitness program as part of an online community. This is a free online weight loss membership. Apparently the founders, Chris Downie and his wife, made a lot of money as early EBay employees and set the site up to give back. Definitely worth checking out.

The next online weight loss program we will look at is the Biggest Loser Club. You have no doubt heard of the Biggest Loser TV Show on NBC. It is one of the few truly inspiring programs on TV. Just like the TV show, the online club offers solid diet plans and fitness plans in a supportive online community. They offer a lot of tips on how to lose weight as well. The program is $19.98 a month.

Weight Loss Plan Videos and Ebooks

In this category, we will review a couple of Weight Loss Plans that I recommend. Typically, these involve specific weight loss meal plans and workouts with ongoing support as well. Often, these are one-time purchases. Some offer monthly support as well.

The first program I want to look at is The Diet Solution Plan. If you click on that link you will see an informative video with some great weight loss tips and more information about the program. If you are looking for a realistic plan for weight loss with detailed meal plans, workout plans, and ongoing support, this is a fantastic option. Isabel De Los Rios started this plan and has a lot of practical advice and weight loss resources to offer.

The Next Plan is Eating for Energy, by Yuri Elkaim. This plan is offered in ebook and video format and even has an option for a Super Nutrition University. Yuri knows his stuff and will give you so much evidence to support his weight loss and diet recommendations that you will begin to really change the way you think about what you eat. This book changed my life! It is that powerful. Yuri focuses on diet in this book. While I always recommend exercise, I think that your diet is the more important of the two.
